is located in Michigan's beautiful Upper Peninsula, a premiere destination for the outdoor enthusiast, serving the recreation areas, business centers, and institutions of higher education within a six-county region.

Providing access to two Great Lakes large hub airports, Sawyer provides service to over 60 countries on all six continents from Detroit Metro International Airport via Delta Air Lines, and Chicago O'Hare International Airport via American Airlines (Envoy). Terminal Hours - 4:00 a.m. until Midnight - Daily

SECURITY IDENTIFICATION DISPLAY AREA (SIDA) BADGE TRAINING

All airport employees and those requiring access inside the Secure Identification Display Area of Sawyer International Airport must have a SIDA badge to access the secure areas, such as baggage loading areas, taxiways, runways and boarding gates, T-hangars, etc. as required by  the Transportation Security Administration (TSA).

Classes will consist of SIDA specific information and Non-Movement training and are currently held every Wednesday evening at 5:30 p.m. (edt).  Please bring two forms of identification with you to your scheduled class.
